I suppose that the first people to introduce me to D&D
would have been my wife and my father-in-law. So yeah, I wasn't playing
anything even closely related to D&D while I was younger.
The edition they introduced me to and that we still play
mostly is 3.5 edition.
My first character that I actually made started out as a
Druid. As I got more into the game I found my father-in-laws Psionics books and
loved them. I multi-classed my Druid into a Psion (shaper) as well which
completely destroyed the play-ability of the character from what I could tell.
He let me kill it off and replace it with a full on Psion which is still my
favorite character at this time.
